Am I a Good Candidate for Fractora™?

Fractora can be used on any area of the skin that can benefit from skin renewal and rejuvenation. The most commonly treated areas include the lower eyelid, festoons, malar bags, upper eyelid, smile lines, smokers lines, forehead, cheeks, mouth, neck, elbows, and knees. Face and body areas that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration, or chronic ice-pick acne scarring are suitable for treatment. Fractora is also excellent at treating active acne.

Procedure Walk-Through

The area to be treated with Fractora™ is typically numbed with a topical or local anesthetic prior to the treatment. Next the Fractora™ handpiece stamps the areas of concern. Typical treatment times are under an hour. Next, the treated skin is cleansed and coated with a thin layer of antibiotic ointment followed by a proprietary skin rejuvenation cocktail. Some patients elect to undergo PRP therapy immediately following the Fractora™, for optimal results.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Patients can expect to have anywhere from 1-6 treatment sessions depending on the specific Fractora regime. Treatments are typically spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

How Quickly Will I See Results?

Visible results can be seen immediately, although the most noticeable results appear 2 to 16 weeks following the treatment.

Benefits of Fractionated Energy

Fractionated RF energy found in Fractora is a scientifically proven method to reduce wrinkles. It is minimally invasive, using a matrix of micro-pins to resurface and restore the skin, providing exceptional results with almost no patient downtime. Additionally, the Fractora™micro-pins can be selectively coated with silicone, allowing all skin types to be treated safely and without the undue risk of thermal damage to the superficial skin, minimizing the risk of hypo and hyperpigmentation, which is often seen with conventional lasers such as CO2.

Fractora™ Post-Procedure Care

The Fractora™ treatment is performed under local anesthesia as an outpatient procedure. It has minimal pain, swelling, and redness associated with it. Procedure times typically require 1 hour for completion. Following the treatment, mild swelling and redness can be expected for a few days. The skin is typically managed with an antibiotic ointment on the first day, followed by an emoliant, as needed. After the procedure, patients are encouraged to avoid direct sun exposure for a few weeks following treatment.
