ICLED Minimally-Invasive Neck Lift Overview

The ICLED Minimally-Invasive Neck Lift is a scarless procedure I perform under a local anesthetic to enhance the lower face and jawline.  During the procedure, a light-guided suture system to tighten the neck area by lifting the deeper tissue layers of the neck . Treatment time is about one hour.  Additionally, if the neck requires additional tightening,  I perform Facetite and Morpheus8 at the same time to optimize results by creating optimal skin contraction.  As a result of the ICLED Minimally-Invasive Neck Lift, a sharper jaw line is created which enhances the face’s contours, creating a more youthful appearance.

  1. Preparation: Begin preparing for your procedure at least two weeks ahead of time, especially if you take blood thinning medications or smoke. Blood thinning medications include NSAIDs like aspirin and Ibuprofen, as well as certain vitamins and supplements like Gingko biloba.
  2. Anesthesia: ICLED requires only a local anesthesia. Discuss your anesthesia options with Dr. Vallecillos during your preoperative consultation.
  3. Preoperative Consult: Bring any questions you have about the procedure and postoperative care to discuss with Dr. Vallecillos, as well as your medical history. Also, share your goals in undergoing this procedure to allow the doctor to help manage your expectations.

ICLED Neck Lift

After applying the local anesthesia, Dr. Vallecillos will make a small incision under the chin. Depending on the patient, fat may be removed or redistributed with liposuction. Dr. Vallecillos will then place the suture support system underneath the entire jawline. The suture support system is placed similar to the mechanism of a shoe lace. The procedure take approximately 1-2 hours to complete.

Who is a candidate for a ICLED Neck Lift?

ICLED is safe for all adults who enjoy good health, have maintained their weight for at least three months, and want a more youthful appearance without undergoing major surgery. The ideal candidate will have minimal skin laxity and show some signs of aging. Patients who have prominent glands due to genetics are great candidates for this procedure as well.

What is the recovery time for a ICLED Neck Lift?

Minimal. Recovery time is typically several days. However, patients may resume normal activities immediately. 

Are there risks or side effects associated with the ICLED Neck Lift?

Patients may experience mild inflammation, pain, swelling, and bruising. Less common side effects include sensory nerve injury, asymmetry, and banding.

Yes, the product earned FDA approval.

How is the ICLED Neck lift different from a thread lift?

ICLED differs from thread lifts in that the sutures are placed much deeper. The sutures are placed beneath the skin and right over the muscles. The ICLED illuminated suture rod helps to guide the threads into the right location, allowing them to be placed not too superficial or deep. The structure of the overall suture differ from thread lifts in that it is a continuous loop that supports the jawline over time. Thread lifts normal structure is a single strand that only lifts the skin.
