The Golden Proportion
The Greek letter Phi represents the Golden Number: 1.61803399, first written about over two millennia ago by Euclid. Recognized centuries ago by Renaissance artists such as Raphael and Leonardo da Vinci, the ratio of 1.61803399:1.0 is the Golden Proportion, the ideal space between complementary features to achieve perfect symmetry. You see this proportion idealized on most of the beautiful faces in Hollywood. Using the Golden Proportion, Dr. Stephen Marquardt designed a facial mask that helps plastic surgeons align features for the most symmetrical, natural look.
Methods to Achieve the Golden Proportion
A wide variety of cosmetic procedures and injectables help patients acquire this symmetry. Beginning at the chin, patients may choose Kybella injections, which destroy fat cells that accumulate beneath the chin to cause submental fullness, or double chin. Moving up to the lips, Restylane is an FDA-approved filler for lip enhancement that restores volume and lift. From there it is on to the cheeks, where Voluma augments cheeks and restores greater elasticity for up to two years. Juvederm performs a similar function, injecting hyaluronic acid into the skin to reduce wrinkles and improve elasticity. Finally, Bellafill injectables correct facial wrinkles and even some acne scars. This FDA-approved treatment lasts a minimum of five years, because the body never absorbs the PMMA microspheres used to treat these wrinkles and lines.

Philosophy: Superior advice predicated upon evidence-based medicine, innovative insight, and efficient execution.
Treatment goals: Create a natural-appearing, balanced aesthetic enhancement that complements the patient’s unique features.
What’s most important to you when treating patients?
Comfort and security: We strive to achieve the ultimate customer experience. In surgery, much like professional sports, talent typically prevails. Championships however, are won by the teams who subscribe to organizational excellence. Accordingly, with good surgical planning and sound judgment, the majority of routine surgeries follow fairly predictable outcomes. Hence, customer service makes the experience complete. That’s what ultimately differentiates you as a surgeon from the masses. And that is our goal: to exceed our clients expectations.
What does a consultation with you entail?
Initially, patient information is gathered including photographs, salient medical history, and aesthetic goals. Next, I perform a comprehensive consultation utilizing videos and interactive patient education software. Following the consultation, the patient reviews the surgical procedure, peri-operative plans, and financials with the surgical consultant.
What steps does your office take to augment comfort?
We offer several features to augment comfort: A VIP waiting area, complimentary beverage menu, and Wi-Fi connectivity, and complementary usage of iPads.
